Ingate Unveils SIParator® 20

Award-Winning SIP Appliance Targets Small Businesses

Fall VON, Boston, September 22, 2003 - Ingate Systems (www.ingate.com), the leading supplier of SIP-capable enterprise firewalls, introduces the Ingate SIParator® 20, a new addition to the company's extensive line of SIP-enabling firewall products.

The Ingate SIParator® 20 is a device that connects to an existing network firewall to seamlessly enable the traversal of SIP-based communications. Unlike Ingate's current SIParator® products, the SIParator® 20 is made specifically for small businesses looking to SIP-enable their network quickly and at unprecedented value. Once connected to the existing enterprise structure, the Ingate SIParator® 20 will allow even the smallest company to utilize SIP applications such as Internet telephony or VoIP, instant messaging, presence, video or any number of SIP-based real-time communications.

In addition, because the Ingate SIParator® 20 integrates with security architecture already in-place, small businesses can reap the benefits of SIP-based communications without losing previous investments in firewall security. Ingate's line of SIParator® products was named "Product of the Year" by Internet Telephony magazine in December 2002.

The SIParator® 20 is available now in the U.S. The list price is $1,650.

Measuring 8.7x10x1.7 inches, the Ingate SIParator® 20 is the smallest in Ingate's family of SIParator® products. It boasts a VIA C3 533 processor, has two ports at 10/100 Mbit/s, and comes with ten SIP user licenses and can incorporate a maximum of 400.

All Ingate products share the same software platform; software is upgraded at no cost. Ingate software delivers full SIP compatibility with, for example, Windows Messenger. It also contains a SIP registrar, which manages SIP user and domain registration, and a SIP proxy. Ingate software supports NAT and PAT and delivers TLS support for encrypted SIP signaling, eliminating the security concerns most often associated with enterprise instant messaging. Quality of Service functionality is available as a separate module.

Ingate SIP user licenses come standard with every Ingate Firewall and SIParator®. Ingate offers free licenses for Firewalls and VPN modules. Ingate SIP licenses can be adjusted for a changing number of users with minimum investment - at any time. Unlimited user licenses are also available.

Cited by users and media for ease of use, Ingate's Web-based user interface makes installation simple, virtually eliminating user errors that often occur at set up.
