Ingate Systems and Quick Eagle Networks Team To Provide Robust, End-To-End VPN Solution

New VPN Combo provides small and medium sized businesses and branch offices with a cost-efficient, fully featured VPN solution

Hollis, NH/Sunnyvale, CA - April 28, 2003 - Ingate Systems Inc. and Quick Eagle Networks announced today an alliance to bring together their respective, state-of-the-art products to provide an end-to-end VPN solution for small and medium sized businesses and branch offices. The Ingate/Quick Eagle VPN solution combines the Ingate Firewall™ 1200 with the Quick Eagle 4231 Access Router™ to provide a cost-efficient, fully featured VPN solution.

In addition to providing full firewall security, the Ingate Firewall™ 1200 is equipped with a VPN termination module that supports IPSec and PPTP protocols. With IPSec, the Ingate VPN module supports 3DES and AES encryption and MD5 and SHA-1 authentication. Utilizing Ingate’s unique VPN capabilities, businesses can create up to 50 VPN tunnels for a secure connection, which ensures future scalability and protects the initial investment. In addition, Ingate’s award-winning support for Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) provides everything the small and medium sized business and branch office needs to communicate (e.g. via instant messaging, audio/video conferencing, and Voice over IP) efficiently with customers and colleagues. To complete the offering, customers may choose to add the Ingate Quality of Service software module so that priorities can be set by traffic type to improve performance without additional network cost.

The Quick Eagle 4231 Access Router™ completes the VPN solution by using its virtually wire-speed performance to seamlessly connect branch offices over the Internet via fractional to full T1 links. The 4231 Access Router includes a CSU/DSU and the advanced intelligence features needed to accurately monitor network performance.

"We are pleased to be offering this combined solution with Ingate Systems," said Alan Rice, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Quick Eagle Networks. "The combination of the Ingate Firewall® technology with our cost effective router solution provides a terrific value for our customers. Offering a complete VPN solution with firewall and quality of service components is very exciting for Quick Eagle and Ingate’s support for SIP means that this solution will also support productivity benefits that real time communications can provide for our customers."

"This is an exciting alliance for Ingate Systems," said Steven Johnson, President of Ingate Systems Inc. "Our customers have been asking for a solution that provides them a complete solution from the WAN interface and the Quick Eagle router is an outstanding complement to our firewall. We are very excited about the possibilities that this offering provides for our customers."

The Ingate/Quick Eagle VPN Combo is attractively priced and is available through Interlink Communication Systems.
