Ingate Demonstrates Interoperability for SIP Trunking, Remote VoIP Solutions With Cedar Point Communications SAFARI C3 Media Switching System

HOLLIS, NH – December 17, 2007 Ingate® Systems ((www.ingate.com), which develops firewall technology and products that enable SIP-based live communication for the enterprise while maintaining control and security at the network edge, has demonstrated full interoperability with Cedar Point’s SAFARI C3 Media Switching System, including Ingate’s SIP trunking and Remote SIP Connectivity solutions.

Ingate’s award-winning Ingate Firewall® and Ingate SIParator® products solve the Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal issues with the SIP protocol while maintaining the security and integrity of the network. With a single Ingate installed at the corporate site authorized users can, with Ingate’s Remote SIP Connectivity solutions, access and utilize the VoIP service, IM and other IP-PBX capabilities available through the SAFARI C3 switch from any location – from home, WiFi hotspot etc. – with Internet access.

Enterprises using the SAFARI C3 with an Ingate product can also benefit from SIP trunking. SIP trunks rapidly reduce costs by eliminating the need for an enterprise PSTN gateway, unused BRI/PRI capacity, expensive and underutilized phone lines or trunks at remote offices, and by providing PSTN termination in the local area.

“Ingate is proud to demonstrate interoperability with Cedar Point’s SAFARI C3 system, which enables enterprises of any size to deploy VoIP and other realtime communications,” said Steven Johnson, President, Ingate Systems. “Ingate’s remote SIP connectivity and SIP trunking applications work well with the SAFARI C3 as they enable fast, secure deployments of remote VoIP, IM and any other SIP-based application. They can also be easily scaled up as needed in a cost-effective way.”

The SAFARI C3 Media Switching System is the only totally integrated, carrier-class VoIP switch that incorporates all of the components that make up the voice switching infrastructure and provides SIP-based features today and a seamless evolution to an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture. SAFARI C3 provides superior performance and reliability, significantly reducing capital expenditures, system integration and operations costs for providers of telephony services while increasing network integrity, security and privacy.
